Exhaust leak
At the risk of duplicating my post in the general area, I pose this to the gear-heads...
The last two times starting my car after sitting all night, I have heard what sounds like a tappet ticking for about 1-2 seconds, then all is normal. Having experienced this in a Nissan Maxima years ago, I realize I have an exhaust leak that seals almost immediately after starting. The previous car has a warped exhaust manifold, and I'm asking if any of you folks have had a similar experience with your Corvettes. I have no intention of going to an after-market exhaust system, so if that's your suggestion, save your typing fingers...
The car is a month old with 1400 miles...
