When I started up this AM. I received quite a light and audio show with the following Alerts :
1. Svc Active Handling soon
2. Svc ABS soon
3. Svc Trac Control soon
4. Shocks Inoperative
The shock thing really floored me. I have Z51, Manual, 1SB. I drove to work and all seemed OK. Got the Shocks Not Working alert again while in route. Shut down after arriving at work. Let it sit 30 sec & restarted. Got NO Alerts.
It appears to me that this was just an anomaly. I could understand the Shock warning if I had F55 (MagRide) but I have Z51. The Z51 package is just plain old shocks, right?
My intention is to do nothing for now unless one of you MegaWrenches has some other thoughts. Enen if all is true I’m just driving in the Competitive mode without ABS right? Would continued driving do any harm? Worst thing, I’m at work without Bourbon.
any other warning(s), JT? i've read here in threads regarding battery problems... and we experienced a similar circumstance on our C5 when the battery bit the big one.. that the DIC would start puking up a TON of off the wall error messages.
so, with all the problems people have had with the C5, and possibly going to have with the C6... i'd keep an eye on the battery charge level if it happens again.
It sounds like a communication issue, did it say anything about service fuel system and/or did you gas gage drop? I wouldn't take it in, if you bring it in when the condition isn't present the dealer will just guess and change something that probably isn't broken.

Sounds like it's out of Bourbon or was fed an inferior label. Drive, then imbibe.
Looks like redvetteC6 was correct. Emptied the remainder of my flask in the tank. Four starts and short trips (5-10mi) after leaving work. No repeat problem. Ben told me off line, that this cold AM anomaly was reported before.
Problem I had this AM was the car was a bit sluggish after the Bourbon hit last night. Remembering TommyD’s advice I added a cup of Coffee to the tank. My car is happy.

Isn't all that related to a wheel sensor? Either the system was in a bad mood or a wheel sensor is about to go out. Love all these electronic Gremlins.
