Default Engine Light On After Intake Install

Heres the deal i took out the stock air intake system also poped out the honey comb mesh insert in the massairflowsensor (verycarefully) and made a homemade air intake system using C5 K&N cold air intake ......worked out perfectly fine, sounded great, seemed to be breathing right drove it for about 40 to 50 miles and the engine light comes on........ Any idea Why? I thought maybe i need to reset the computer but disconnecting the battery so it can read that its getting more air?

I did the same thing with taking out the honey comb part of my c6 intake mass air, but if your using a different mass air sensor from the c5 that might be why my light never came on so you might wanna check it also to get it shut off change everything back to stock and take it to the dealer to have them fix at no charge ive found a way to reset the computer you have to disconnect the cable and hold the neg and pos together for 5 seconds hope this helps
