Computer Changes On C6 Gear Change

Does anyone know what has to be done to the computer in the C6 in order to do a gear change? I have an automatic with the 3.15 axle and want to put in a 3.90. I know the speedo doesn't need to be recalibrated, but what about shift points. Is Ls2 edit needed to do this or can a performance shop just reflash the computer with a handheld or tech 2 etc?

If you have lpe do gear change they will reprogram . I have 500 hp head and came from lpe and same gear but they change shift points, I still might have them change gear to 3.42 ask for jeff.
