I'm getting btw 14 and 16 with driving in the suburbs with a Z51 MN6. I'm kinda disappointed; I'm not even driving that hard. I thought it was supposed to get 18 city.

8100 miles=430.85 gallons @ $2.85= $1228=$0.15 per mile...CHEVRON LOVES THE CORVETTE (and so do I)

At 70 MPH I believe I'm at 2100 RPM's. I will have to re-check to confirm this and write it down. But I still am getting a little over 22 MPH on the average.
25.0 on a round trip to BG for the C-5/C-6 bash and this is with a 3.15 rear gear. my 02 with the 3.15 rear gear got 28 on the same trip BUT it had more miles on the engine so the C-6 may not be completly broken in. i have gotten 30 with C-5 and the 2.76 rear gear on the same trip
I found once the Corsa sports went on the mileage went down the tubes. I wind every gear out to hear the exhaust note and now am getting around 12 mpg. I buy gas on the 5 cents off premium day to offset my habit
Z51 6speed
For reference, when I was in my 20’s I had a 1967 RS Camaro with the best engine I ever built. A 3.00 posi-traction rear end and we radared it a 188 MPH. That car got 5 mile per gallon, rode real rough and was way to loud to hear music in. I am utterly amazed at what the C6 will do and get 20-something per gallon.
In 4000 plus miles 20.1 on the computor at 39 mph. That was helped by a recent roundtrip to the outer banks of 1,000 miles where I got 26.5 mpg actual not the computor . a4 with 3.15
Averaged 25.4 mpg on the 4000+ mile round trip from Cottonwood, AZ to Bowling Green, KY. It was mostly highway driving, but there was a fair amount of around-town driving in BG and other towns we stopped in.
Who cares, if you want gas mileage get a Toyota Celica, not a Vette.
A car's practicality is tied partially to its gas milage. And practicality matters for any vehicle. Not nearly as many people would want new 'Vettes if they only got 8 MPG.
On my initial trip back to FL after picking the car up we averaged 26.7, mostly interstate driving. Now I am lucky to get 15. This is not my daily driver, so I primarily use it to cruise around locally and occasionally take it out on some back roads to exercise it a bit more. Like a previous post, I just added a B&B Rout3 66 exhaust, so the mileage will likely go down even further as I absolutely love being able to hear the exhaust now.
My daily driver V6 Tacoma only averages 16, so it likely has something to do with my driving. Not likely to change at this point, so I guess the gas station will remain my friend.
Enjoy the Drive!
I think the C6 uses a little more gas than the C5 because it has more power!
That extra power is only on tap at WOT.
At cruise, the C6 is actually producing equal or less power than the C5 because it has less resistance to fight (aerodynamic and powertrain friction) in order to maintain a specific speed.
