14.1 Aboout 98% in-city driving. It used to bother me, but I said &*#! it, I drive a corvette, I didn't buy this car to worry about the mileage and drive like a panzy trying to get good mileage.
Out & back from Northern NJ to Carlisle this weekend....total mileage approx. 340.....Interstate cruising around 70-75, plus local driving around town & the fairgrounds....25.4 mpg...MN6/Z51
Z-51, 6 Banger, Halltech Stinger, B&B Route 66....95% driving around town (small town) 25-45 mph speed limits. I do get on it from time to time, sometimes more, sometimes less depending on how busy the local constablary is with traffic checks. 15.3 - 15.7 mpg. If i want better mileage I take the Road King....40 mpg
mine has gone down for sure since getting the car tuned, but thats a price Im willing to pay for picking up 24rwhp.It was a noticable drop though. My car was running pretty lean though pretune.
Just got back from a 75 mile round trip from Cottonwood to Flagstaff. This involves 25 miles at 70 mph, the rest at 40 - 45 mph or less, driving up and down Oak Creek Canyon and around town in Flagstaff. Average mpg: 24. And the A/C was on the whole time!
21.7 mixed 50/50 around town and interstate. That's since purchased with 2300 on the OD now. Better than I thought it would be, MN6,Z51.
I'm averaging now between 21 and 22 miles per gallon. If I go by the computer it is much lower actually it is closer to the computer figures when I top off the gas to the point of it spilling out. If I calculate it by myself divide distance by how many gallons you use... my Miles per gallon go up roughly by about 2 miles per gallon. So I have two readings entered in my book one is the computer which is lower and the other is my own the old fashion way of dividing miles driven by gallons put in when the tank is empty then fill it up to FULL.
When I top it off after the first click usually I can get in one more gallon in and when I do this I can usually match the computers MPG figures which are lower.
So my figures actually come out 22 mph + and the computers figures are usually around 21 or lower mph. So I have now 3 entries in my book per fill up:
1. How many gallons I have used for how many miles driven.
2. same as above except I top it off excessively till I can see the top of filler.
3. computer tells me...MPG.
So which one is the correct one out of the 3 ways?
