myself and Mr Krantz both had our damages covered under Dynatech, as he previously said in the post above. my car is currently at Kerbeck being fixed and i am hoping to have it back very soon. Mr Krantz already has his back.

i have no clue if Dynatech is going to cover any damages on this case. if its true that the wrong set of headers were purchased, than i cannot see why Dynatech would be held responsible. i guess we will find out

Yea, But he Called up and Tried to order another Set of headers and they gave him The Same Part # and they said there is no diff between the Auto and 6spd.

Update, Dyntatech Claims virtually no responsibility for the Damages and only offers my freind a new pair of headers to compensate the fact that his New C6 has Burnt to a Crisp!

Depending on the vendor you will probably face a restocking fee and shipping costs to return them. Frankly you would probably be better off with a 1 3/4" primary anyways and I have questions about how well these were designed and tested when they didnt even try them on a manual trans car before offering them for sale to the public. Im sorry and it may be unfair to Dynomax but these things would not go on my car.

Plus, power normally increases and safety for racers improves with lower temperatures.

The graph shown to the left, developed independently by a major US automobile manufacturer, shows just how effectively JET-HOT Sterling beats heat. The company's engineering team was astounded by temperature reductions exceeding 300°F when JET-HOT Sterling was applied to standard exhaust components. Car Craft also took a cool breath, after measuring temperature reductions of over 60% on header surfaces following the application of JET-HOT."

First hand experience from my 1998 WS6 is that my Jet-Hot coated headers kept my engine bay much cooler than a buddy who had the same header, but in SS only. SS is a fine material, but it is NO comparison for a true, modern ceramic coating. SS conducts heat MUCH FASTER than ceramic and the coatings take very good advantage of this in modern form. I could actually touch the headers with bare hands not long after driving the car, my buddy couldn't get anywhere near his for an hour or more.

im wondering how much of an actual design difference there is between the Dynatech and say for instance Kook's. Do all of the rest of the headers have that much of a better fit to them? I've been looking at the Kook's for my C6 but what are the chances of the same type of thing happening? (overheating of adjacent parts)
Anyone with Kooks would like to comment?

Dynatech has completely redesigned the headers to fit the 6 Speed using my car. I have complete confidence in the system. I saw for myself that these newly tweaked headers are safe. Make sure the person installing the system,if it is the original system, keeps the hydraulic clutch line away from the header pipe. Check with Dynatech to make sure the proper way to mount a clip for the line.

They will work with you..................

are those 1 3/4?? i wonder how the fit is on those?? Too bad the Kooks are Jet hot coated. I know you could that done but then you're just adding to the already high price.

Yes they're 1 3/4. You must mean Kooks "are not" coated.
