A Forged motor with a Poweradder such as a Turbo setup is the way to go but a Procharger (alot cheaper ) with a Stock Bottom End is also a cheaper Route ....I myself would go with a Lingenfelter Twin Turbo setup.
I have the MTI LS2 427. I decided to go NA as I like to road race. The car put down 561 rwhp and 542 tq. Car drives great and even get great gas milage. MTI is also a pleasure to work with.
