I installed mine, the hardest part was getting under the car. If you have ramps you can back the car up on the ramps to get under it. here is a link to pictures of an install. There is also so more info in the FAQ section about the CAGS. You can find them here

Slid by my today mechanics to "borrow" his drive-on lift. Longest part of the install, was waiting for the exhaust to cool down enough to not singe the hair off my arms.

Actual install took less than 60 seconds...

Regards,

Rick

We must be in a small and non-vocal minority here. I had intended to install a CAGS eliminator before I got the car, but I haven't really seen the need for it. I almost never hit the 1-4 bypass in normal driving. In the few stop and go traffic situations I see here, it's very easy to avoid. I either drop or increase revs until the indicator goes out, usually a one second adjustment. Since October when I got the car, I think it's actually forced a 1-4 shift maybe 3 times.

I guess if you have to be in traffic a lot of the time, it can be a pain. If not, however, I don't think it's much of a problem.

Default best $20 i have ever spent

i live in la area so im stuck in traffic all the time. i hated the 1 to 4 skip shift. it came on all the time. install took me 2 minutes including jacking up the car. the light still comes on, but thats cool cause i can still do the skip if i want to save gas. you are gonna love it.

I initially didn't see the need for it, but after a while, I found the skip shift would only occur at the most annoying times. For example, when turning left from a light with a car in front, I'd find myself shifting during gentle accleration and BAM, 4th gear. The lanes would split up and all of a sudden, I step on the gas, only to remember I'm in 4th.

Install instructions are in the FAQ section. Very easy to do; gave me an excuse to buy a jack and stands.

Just do it!! Best $20 I ever spent!!! But I would have paid $100 "or more" to have someone other than me to slide under my jacked Vert!! LOL But other than that I had it changed out in about 1 to 2 minutes!! When I was breaking in the baby I hit the CAGS about twice a day and wanted to curse everybody!! LOL Ok it saved me $1,000 on the gas gusler. But thank god for the CAGS ELIMINATOR!!!!
