Default What Mods can be done?

What mods can be done without voiding the factory warranty? Currently I only have Corsa Sport Exhaust.. I was told this would net me about 8 hp. Does that sound correct? I want to get my C6 to around 450 hp without voiding the warranty. Ram Air, Chip, Cam.... Any suggestions?

i think intake and cat back exhaust are safe bets. anything else you had best consult with your local dealer vette guru and see how mod friendly he/she is. mod freindliness varies from dealer to dealer.

i had done quite a few mods on my G35 coupe and my service guy was cool with it all. even installed most of it for me. the only thing he would have had to void my warranty for was FI. a dealer a few miles down the road, however, told me that they would have to report the vin of any modded cars they came accross to a central database. look around and find a good tech and you should be fine. good luck!

A new cam will definitely void your warranty on your engine.Intake should be fine.I think alot of people here will say that if the problem area is caused by something you added then it wont be covered. My guess is that if you swapped gears then that part of the car would be void but the rest would still be covered. Intake and exhaust are usually never a problem at the dealers and if they somehow are ,then just go to a more mod friendly dealer.Lucky for me I have the hallandale chevy dealer for me in south florida which has a special area just for performance vettes ,so they are more mod friendly.

What about some Kooks headers? Easy on/off and good for about 25hp (so they say...)

Mayo I also have a 2005 Red G35 Sport Coupe what mods did you do to yours? My G35 doesnt feel fast, but it did beat my 96 Z28(LT1 Motor) yesterday(boy did my wife like that) . However, my 05 vette smoked it(G35) by about at LEAST 10 car lengths!!

Last I heard, some of the intake systems actually reduced overall Hp. Look around the FAQ for some insight.
