California emissions. Performance issues?
My wife and I are expecting our Corvettes, both DSOM Z51 cars to be built next week. The dealer I bought mine from notes California emission on the order sheet. Hers doesn't show that. I will be pi**ed if that means I'm starting out with less performance potential than Bad Connie has with hers. Am I just still thinking "old school", or is there no real difference these days?

All C6 Vettes built for delivery in California get RPO YF5, which is 50-STATE EMISSIONS. This will give the car the California emissions certification and label. I do believe the software calibration and hardware is the same for both YF5 and non YF5 vehicles. It's just a legal emission requirement for California. However, YF5 vehicles do have a different emission defect and performance warranty than non YF5 federal emission vehicles.
