When I put my Bullets in I had to drop/take off the h-pipe .... there isn't enough room and play to unclamp the h-pipe to catback system to remove it in one piece.

I would assume he would want it in one piece before cutting and welding in new mufflers.

It's not a big deal nonetheless.

Yes you have to drop the "H" pipe to remove the stock mufflers

Yep, H pipe has to come off. I just did mine by myself in the Garage. Not including getting my garage ready and jacking the car up, I did the entire job in about 90 minutes, and that's with no help at all - just me.

Not only the h-pipe but lower the sway bar too. Not enough room to remove stock mufflers without doing this.

Yes the pipe has to come off. It's no big deal, 4 more nuts to remove. Two of us , neither of which had ever done a C6 exhaust had the stock exhaust out in 15 minutes on the drive on lift. It's all pretty obvious when you look at it.

I was able to remove my stock mufflers and install B&B bullets w/out removing the H pipe assembly. Nor did I have to drop the rear sway bar. This was on a z51 car on jackstands in my garage. There is a ton of "play" in the assembly if you pull on it hard enough.

If he is going to install the Magnaflow mufflers for $100 jump on it, get the price firm in writing before he starts. It's going to take him at least 2 hours with all the test fitting, tack welding and final welding.
