i would like some opinions on which headers make the most hp for the c6.
LG, Kooks, Dynatec, ect. so far i have heard that the LG's are going to make the most hp. i also heard that the dynatec will burn down my car. (catch it on fire)

I'm guessing he means they'll improve your car's performance, without burning you to a crisp.

I have installed three sets of Kooks LT w/high flow cats. All three cars picked up between 25-30 RWHP with the same in torque. Don't waste your time with anyone else's. If it ain't broken don't fix it!

There quality is spot on and the installation is clean.

I have Dynatech SuperMaxx headers on my 6-speed C6. They have caused me no problems and I like them in all respects. I have heard many good things about Kooks, too. I think that the best way to pick a header is to research them, ask people about them, as you have and then pick a recommended one that you can have installed by an installer in which you have confidence. You need a good header and a good installation.

You don't NEED to get your car tuned but it would sure help. I noticed that the last couple ones C6's we dynoed stock where quite rich in the A/F. The exhaust really wakes up the car and I'm sure a lot is due to leaning the car out.

Whatever you decided...hurry up! One of the best bolt on upgrade out there.

Tuning after installing Kooks ( or any set of long tubes and cats ) just enhances the whole process.

I picked up 45 rwhp with Kooks, tuning, low temp thermostst and Magnaflows.( I don't think the Magnaflows gave me any hp ) 345 rwhp to 390 rwhp. Made a big difference.

I have the Dynatech Supermaxx headers installed three weeks ago and love them. Absolutely no issues what so ever. There were three cases total of engine fire which was linked directly to improper installation, with the mechanics/ buyers letting the clutch line rest on the header itself...

I have heard many say that the supermaxx are almost identical to the LG. I was planning on the LG's myself but there was a 4-6 week backorder everywhere so I looked around and found Dynatech's the most appealing. They also have fantastic customer service/support

So says dynatech. It is interesting to note that they "discovered" the problem after installing a set on a manual trans car. Something they didnt bother doing till after the fires. Yes, thats correct, they never even tried it on a stick car before they went on sale. Linked to improper installation? Thats another interesting thing. With almost no installed units they managed to get 3 fires. Meanwhile the kooks had an installed base many times over that of the dynotechs and no fires. Anyone here think that people who buy Kooks are better mechanics than people who buy dynotechs? An observant person might also note they didnt fit right when they came out for the C5 either. I have to take a pass on the dynotechs. Im going kooks or LG.

I'm waiting for LG's. Trying to be patient, but it's hard. They say another 2-3 weeks.

I have posted several times that my car had one of the problems with the clutch line burning through with the Dynatech Headers. Luckily for me, I live only about 5 miles from the Dynatech Headquaters. My car was taken to the Dynatech shop and was used to fit the 6 Speed headers and make any issue corrected. I have seen the prodution of this system and can say they are a quality product. I am sympathetic to the other few people that experienced the problem.......my car was gone for 4 weeks and I have every reason to be bitter about the situation. I am just glad that I could help correct the problem.

Do the Kooks make the car sound better? I have Corsa Sports and heard that with Kooks the car would sound great.
