Default What's the Best Detector?

Folks...I'm sure this quesotin has been asked numerous times, but I haven't been able to find any existing threads....so here goes....what's the consensus on the best detector for a C6? Valentine & Passport seem to be the top two, but I'd like to hear real world experience. I'm in NJ....lots of local microwave interference & lots of curves, dips & hollos on the freeways & local roads for the troopers to hide.

Probably one of the three most asked questions with many threads. It always creates debate between the brands. All are about the same with only minor differences such as arrows, voice and style. None will protect you 100 %. Buy what you like and take your chances or drive the speed limit.

I use the new whistler Pro 73, It has 360 degree protection in all bands & laser. It lights up in blue digital & looks cool at night.
It also has a human voice that warns you so you keep your eyes outside the cockpit.

I use a Solo2 and have been saved many times. I also like that it is cordless. I use my C6 as a daily driver and my batteries last about 3 weeks.

all of the Radar detectors listed above are nice, but Valentine 1 is still the best out there. It is also upgradable by the factory when new technologies come out.

Valentine V-1, is the consensus on Ferrari & Porsche sites as well. Saved me lots of tickets (spelled $$$$$$$). Picks up all sorts of bogeys from any direction. Gives plenty of warniing except with Lazer which only a radar jamer can protect you against. V-1 does not have Lazer jamming. But if the cop pulls the trigger of his lazer gun
on someone else in front of you, the V-1 will pick it up and warn you. 400.00 is what they cost. Everything else is crap

Not true at all. The projected beam is very tight. There is no scatter but if you want to believe that just bring it on at speed.

It is a daily driver, but I don't turn the volume all the way up.
