Legal California Headers

What I will do for you guys though is stomp the heck out of it when I drive by the huge EPA site in RTP at lunch today. That ought to give them some emissions, since they always seem to be looking for some.

None of the headers (designs) I have seen so far on C6's are California Legal.
That said, the closest anyone has come (and I heard the engineers from Callaway tell someone this over the weekend @ Bloomington Gold) is this product, soon to be under review by C.A.R.B. for an E.O.
Callaway Headers for the C6
Currently 49 state legal, they keep the cats in the factory location - They said one of their goals is to obtain an E.O. for the parts under the CARB Compliance exemptions this year (?).
I hope this helps

Technically, ANY of the headers that relocate the cats are in violation of the EPA's guidelines - while most enthusiast "look the other way" ar wink, nod, and slide the car past the inspection process, the original question asked about CA Legal headers for the C6 which right now, I do not know of any - and only one set (the Callaway headers) that are going for CARB exeptions (E.O. number) that I have heard about...
Of course there is more power to be had by relocating the cats and canging the design of the headers to a full length, or longer design - but the EPA would frown upon that heavily in many places
There are also some performance gains from removing the cats and changing the pipe diameters and how the collectors come together but with the cats where they are, you have to live w/ some limitations...
Where I am (Mid-Atlantic), we have dyno-roller emissions testing and frankly, as long as a cat is in place, I have yet to be asked about headers or anything else however, I hear that California is a whole different world when it comes to emissions testing (???)
I hope this helps
