Static cling solar shade available from Mid America Corvette for about $25. Works and looks great.

as stated the MAD screen (I have one) is the only item as of today...

Works OK, but there have been at least 2 vendors that have promised a shade (thicker and truly blocks out the sun/heat) yet neither has produced one as of now...

For 25 bucks, its allright, you can also take out your top and cut to fit a peice of cardboard to press fit in it... I painted a peice black and while not the most stylish item, it works... Smells a little on hot days (cardboard smell)...

I have one of these. It works OK, easy to remove, but I found it difficult to install.

Kind of a pain to get the air bubbles out.

I had the same thought. I have a preference for genuine GM accessories but then I'm influenced by many years in the NCRS.

I cleaned the inside of my top, installed it and left it for about an hour, then worked on the bubbles. Then I left it over night just sitting in my kitchen, re-installed the top on the car the next day…

Never had a problem since, has been on for about 3 months now…

For what its worth…

I bought one too - took about 15 minutes to install with no problems. Really cuts down the heat inside, and has been on for a month now (90+ degrees the past 10 days) with no problems at all.
For 25 bucks, it's a worthwhile investment.

Default Just go buy a factory targa top and have it painted to match your color of your car

If that is possible?

It sure is...

There is a VERY slight cost difference though, 25.00 vs 1125.00 (that was a cost of a new Silver Top on Ebay), of course, if it needs to be painted, then add a couple of hundred...

Or, do what I did and make one out of cardboard, cost=$0.00...

I just hope the slight smell of cardboard on a hot day goes away... (-:

(really only notice it when I open the door the first time)...
