Humm? Big bucks are paid for the oldies that are all original. After hearing you guys - If I keep my C6 another twenty years It'll be one of only a few originals!

Only if you have less then 1500 miles on the car, never drive it again, and keep it in an climit controled envornment.
If you want to modify your Vette make sure and keep your stock parts
I am a firm believer that ANY car has higher sellability if all original. Remember - a used car buyer would MUCH rather buy a brand new car with nothing but OEM parts - but economics dictate otherwise. I sold my 95 LT1 and took off all the parts I put in and replaced with the originals. YES - keep them!!! Sold the parts for $5k...the car itself for $14.3K. I never would have gotten $19.3K for the car with all the aftermarket stuff on it.

Take the $50K, buy some IBM or Microsoft (or perhaps a good indexed Mutual Fund) and you'll be much better off.

If I had to bet that if you kept the aftermarket mod parts ON the car you would have only gotten $11-$12K if that.
Modded cars only enhance the current owner, not a potential buyer.

When I traded in my 2000 c5 for a 2001 Z06 the dealer asked me to remove the Penske shocks, Harness bar, aftermarket seatbelts, hoosiers, etc that I added for Autocrossing. I basically put it back to stock (with the exception of the alignment). I only had 3K miles on the car. I had no problem keeping all the mods since I put them in the Z06.
The dealer didn't want any of the stuff on the car... they said it would pull the price down too low for a trade in.
I just had my exhaust switched out. Hmmmmm I told the installer to keep the stock exhaust. My freakin garage had so much cr*p in it before I purchased my C6 I spent a couple weekends in it just to get it in order for my new Vert.
I could not see that big box sitting in there and ever needing it. Maybe I should go get it. He said he would keep it around for a week or so in case there was a problem with my Corsa's.
