When do you want to edit the car? I was thinking of putting on a cold air intake. Would that be enough of a change to the car to require an edit or would the car's stock programming be acceptable? At what point and with what mods should I consider an edit.
With the computer managemenrt that is in these cars, you will need to edit after every change -- even something small like a CAI. If it were me, I would wait until you have 2-3 mods, put them all at once, and tune like that.

I waited until I had longtube headers-back to a Corsa Sport muffler, and a Halltech intake. Not only is the power increased, but the redline is up to 7,000 rpm, the A/F ratios are leaned out a bit up top, and perhaps the best "edit" of all is the deactivation of the torque management. While you can never really 'turn it off', the stock ECU map sets a maximum od 281 lb./ft. of torque at 3000 rpm. This is pitifull. What he did is set an unobtainable limit for the computer - 6000 tq. @ 6000 rpm. So now that's my limit. Damn, no more than 6,000 tq., I'm pissed!
