Granted that John would want to ask Jeremey how he was tuning but I cannot, for the life of me, imagine any other dyno shop opeator not asking exactly the same questions.
As for Woodbridge being in Midland and not Manassas I agree, but if you ask the normal denizen of NoVA they have never heard of that sleep little hamlet but have a rough idea of where Manassas is, so it was a generic point of reference.
Also, the dyno there is a DynoJet which everyone seems to prefer and if the last gathering was any indication the facility can easily be found. I believe that we had 14 cars actually make runs, one guy was there only to have a couple of people show him how to change the plugs/wires on his C5, and several just to watch.

You've lost me on this one. Why would any dyno shop owner care what you are doing to the car? They offer a service where you can measure power output. They should not be asking questions about what you are doing to get power. That's none of their business! Unless I misunderstood the above statement...
I am interested in getting a tune as well. Dyno'd many times @ Sealock's @ the old woodbridge shop...midland, no problem for me (or anywhere in NoVa). Just let me know how much and when. Having headers, hi-flo cats, corsa sports, and calloway cai installed next week. A nice tune to enhance those mods would be nice.
I have the same questions. IF Jeremy doesn't have something at Carilise. I'll take the lead if no one else does.
Already found a cheap dyno that's local to northern VA. We can use Seadick if everyone agrees. I can call John and ask for a price for 5-10 cars on a Saturday.
I'll start a thread in the c4/c5/c6 tech forums.
We have to ask Jeremy how to handle the deposits.
Gentleben started this thread so I don't want to step on any toes.
I am going to be at Carilise, but i don't think that's the best place to get it done. there is a lot of pressure to get the cars in and out at events like that. i have a harley and i have tried to get work done at daytona and there is just no way you are getting 100% attention when there are 50 bikes in line behind you. just my $0.02
would be very interested in seslock
count on two c6's from Richmond, VA if it is anywhere but Carilise.

I have been watching this thread as I need someone who has some DFI experience to help with my tune. I will say that I spoke with John Sealock yesterday and he is not a well man. He told me that he has to go to Richmond and pick up some new experimental medicine and tuning is on hold right now. May want to check with him before you all set it up. Just FYI
Well, I for one need to hold off until sometime in mid-September at the earliest as I have ordered some LG Motorsports headers/hi-flo cats and have been informed that they will not ship until the 15th of August at the earliest. That means, with luck, they will actually ship after Labor Day.
I don't want to get my Vette tuned without these headers as I feel that it would be a waste of money (money, I point out, that could be used for more mods!) and time.
However, from reading this post I can see that there are plenty of others in the area that want to do this as soon as possible so please don't let me hold you up.
I would point out that if John Sealock cannot accomodate us, there are two other DynoJet dyno shops in Manassas. one in Dulles and one in Lorton. We should be able to work something out.

hey all, been kinda quiet on this thread, but if you all are still trying to get together somewhere in nothern, Va. count me in too. im ordering my exhaust tomorrow 8/5. not sure about time frames, but id guess a couple weeks atleast before id be ready.
Mikey, I do believe that with more power comes less longevity. How much less? Depends on the drivers and a slew of other variables. TM is a big hinderance to power. You can send the PCM back to me and I will fix any problems that you may have free. 98% sure you shouldnt have any problems that is why we road test, thoroughly.
Stinky-50% deposit, would like to have a max of 5 per day I would like to spend a good deal of time with each car. more than 5 cars too stressful and not thorough enough. I will stay as many days a necessary.
Gentleben - I would get exh mods before tuning, it will take more aggressive timing and not ping.
C6firstvette- would be interested in checking it out. Just maybe be able to pull some more power out of her.
TAG D IT I have prices PM me.
Orange C6- You will be more likely to ping in the heat. I put alot of timing back into the IAT tables. as heat rises timing is pulled, Heat is going to be more likely to causing knock. We will set it up the best we can for that day and the maf and IAT do a great job of managing fuel and spark. In short you have no worries. pump gas. Yes we do want to invite C5 and C4 cars.
Zig if it is reflashed by the dealer send it back and I will reflash it with all the same stuff I put in there, it is invisible to the dealer. I have a long post on LS2 software update in this forum. look it up. The tune will be setup for your mods. I can set it up for headers but I would have them on before tuning. Rockers ok (no real tuning necessary) but i would do a cam instead. Cam, no need to be reflashed its alot of changes. I still can set it up for it before you have the cam.
We could setup 2 locations on 2-3 days to limit travel for each group. Va guys in VA and MD guys in MD?? I may be going to Carlisle and would like to do something around that time. Dont worry so much I am concerned with your best interest
Thank you all gentlemen.

Jermey;I'm going to get the edit, however I am thinking about going to a better exhaust system first. What would you recommend as a good exhaust system ?
Thanks
It does appear that we are potentially looking at two dates for the NoVA group.
As I am waiting for headers/cats I will have to be in the second (later) group to ensure that they have arrived and are installed prior to tuning and this probably will not occur prior to mid-September.
Further, to ensure that the tuning is efficient as possible we will have to agree on a Dyno shop and coordinate with them. At present, I have not started this process based upon insufficient knowledge of who wants to do what when.
We need to start working a list of who desires to Tune when. I suggest that should you desire to do so you respond to this thread with your desired date(s) and then we can move forward from there.

i prefer to have a few weeks of track time with the edit before the weather gets too cold. so late august or very early september would be my preferred time slot.
if we end up waiting until september, i might just as well go forward with a header install also. i have a great deal on kooks that i could take advantage of. but its totally unnecessary...but if i have to wait more than a month for this edit...the money will burn a hole through my wallet and i will end up with headers. nobody wants that
