Default Oil Starvation

Can running a stock C6 (or any street car for that matter) on a banked track do any harm to the engine due to the banking on the track draining the oil from the sump?

YES. Oil starvation on a track, banked or evern a high speed high G corner can cause the oil to slosh to one side of the block causeing Oil starvation and the BIG BANG It does not take much oil loss to cause the problems

To help prevent Oil starvation for track days, add an extra quart of oil. This will help prevent oil starvation and keep the engine running cooler.

Do you drain the oil out aftewards?? no leave it in your car will thank you for it.

Many of us who do track days ( weekends ) one to two times a month put in an accu-sump to keep the oil pumping though the block. along with an oil cooler to keep the oil temps down to 250-255*.

an Accu-sump is a WET sump system, vs the DRY sump on the new ZO6.

I have an oil pan and a 3 qt accu-sump in my left front fender.

It takes 10 1/2 quarts of oil to fill the whole system.

Along with that I have a transmission cooler as well

trans cooler, radiator, oil cooler
air damn removed for mataince
