Does 1-4 Skip Shift still skip in Competitive Mode?
Does it skip in all modes?

Yes, it only can be disabled by a CAGS Skip shift eliminator or custom tuning. The CAGS can be found for $17-24.00.

If you are in the competitive mode I have to assume that you intend to drive fast. In that case you will wind it out in 1st gear to some reasonably fast level of RPM's. When you shift, it will go into 2nd gear not 4th. The skip shift only comes into play when you shift from 1st at low speeds, usually on the street in traffic. If you are accelerating for speed it will not skip shift.

I got rid of it with a $1 resister from radio shack following directions from the FAQ. Works like a charm

If your skip shift is an issue, then you aren't driving competitively to begin with.

Where can I get the instructions on how and where to install the resistor? I found a web page on a 1999 camaro. Thought someone else would have something more applicable to the C6. Thanks for any help you can provide.
