Default 2006 - 6 Speed Auto performance

With the new 6 speed automatic on the 2006 model, what is the projected 0-60 time and what is the projected MPG for City/Highway?

GM Powertrain says 2% slower 0-60 and 2% better MPG than the 05 A4 with 3.15 rear ratio.

2% change!? Geez, seems that would be hard to measure and essentially a "no change". Of course us A4 people will be happy it isn't any percent faster.

There are rumors that it's faster than the A4 and may be as fast as the MN6. We'll have to wait for testing.

Then that would make it an even far better improvement in fuel economy over the A4 with 3.15s.
I gotta go check out that chart again maybe.

I live in the city and honestly I prefer the 6speed manual but I heard that the new A6 performs as well as a manual 6 Speed, if so then I'd go for the A6 Auto. Dont get me wrong 6 speed manual is awesome but the automatics are getting close performing as well as the 6 speed manual.

It sounds like a very impressive package. I wish I had one just to answer everybodys questions. I would like to know the actual quarter mile times with the 6 speed paddle shift. I seen a C6 at the dragstip yesterday that appeared to have just the 2:73 rear end because it didnt have the drilled and slotted rotors and it was running 13.20 in stock form. Needless to say I was impressed.
