Default Header install in Southern CA?

As I was getting ready to install the LG headers next week, I called several places to get a quote. One near my home, quoted me $700 for the header installation and $ 280 for the LPE cold air intake installation. I was thinking more like $ 350 for the header.... Is this reasonable?

Seems way to high to me, if you have the intereste try to put them on yourself, we did it and it was a lot of fun and a great way to learn about your car. Good luck but 700 is ridiculous.

I second that suggestion. I did the longtubes install in my garage with the car on jackstands. Over several nights, about 1 hour per night, great time to bond with your car! I called West Coast Corvette and Corvette Mike and their prices were hugely ridiculous. If you don't have time, or don't want to do it yourself, you should go for some smaller shop who are reputable. Since I'm in Placentia, I can drop by to help you a little bit, but with 2 young sons, don't know how much time I have.

Good luck,

It might have been. I am always cruising around.

Also I meant to tell you ask for Joe. Hes the owner and then tell him Isent you. I hope it works out. Also no I don't get any kick back or what not he has worked on my cars for over 6-7 years. He knows his stuff.

I was quoted $500 from a local performance shop. Decided to pay a friend $200 for the use of his lift, air tools and experienced help. 4 1/2 hours of my time with his help underneath for about 2 hours. If you can follow the instructions better than I did it can be done in less time.

We will do the installation, dyno before and after, and we do the tuning required to fully realize the benefit of these mods.

Please give Andy a call and set up an appointment.

Thanks,
