I don't mind the "montly specials" message, as much as an individual thread for each damn item. He could include the NEW individual stuff @ the top of each message.

I supposed supporting vendors get a little more leeway.

It is pretty ridiculous. Useful, on-topic, "tech" threads are lost in a matter of hours so that we know all about the newest stuff for sale. Every year, this forum turns into more of a shopping mall.

Agree. I have only been gone for 3 months and I check in here every few weeks at best. During that time this has gone from being a few posts with stuff for sale to what I view right now. That would be more than 50% ads. Frankly I dont want ads here unless they are pertinent to a topic under discussion. In continued frankness I didnt even look in this section the last time I got on line because I wasnt into being sold. Yes, I know what makes forums run. That would be money. I also know that if people stop looking the vendor dollars dry up. I have started to stop looking in this section. Draw your own conclusions.
