Specifically when I was at the track, the car would not allow me to do a burnout because the pedal would just stick to the floor. Then when I would go to actually race the car the pedal was complete mush and was difficult to shift because the pedal was at the floor. Chevy told me the updated clutch had a stiffer pressure plate and that the problem was because the original pressure plate was too weak. Since it was weak at certain RPM's the pressure plate would stay released and therefore the pedal stayed at the floor. I hope my explanation makes sense.
Just got a phone call from dealer. guess what they have to say about the 'sticking clutch pedal'... they couldn't duplicate the problem!!!!! I even showed the problem to the technician at the time of car drop off!!! And even if there is a problem with the clutch, dealer is not responsible for the repair since I got the aftermarket parts installed on my car (LPE intake, LG header w/ cats and Bullet) Am I getting screwed or what??

I posted this before:
Before you do anything rash, check out my simple clutch arm mod that reduces clutch throw and engages the clutch earlier off the floorboard. It also seems to help or eliminate your problem. With your engine mods you probably won't get a free GM fix.
Check out that little metal gizmo that I attached backwards to the clutch arm nubbin that engages the switch on the floorboard/firewall.
You can rig something up yourself, anything to reduce the clutch throw distance, and yet still completely disengage the clutch. It seems that your problem is more apt to occur the farther you disengage the clutch.
Guy's , I had the problem with their latest and greatest clutch... the problem on my Z-51, transmission. NO TRANSMISSION FLUID,both factory, dealer and two trips to another dealer that was asked to check the fluids and nobody did. This was verified by a GM engineer! Clutch was just the first warning sign of month old problem! Tranny went 3000 miles with no fluid!!! Before you roast me, there was no noise of any type or noticable problem shifting for me or the mechanics that drove the car...
Gripforce, I would try to find another dealer. There are always dealers around that will do it even if you have mods. I don't know why the techs care they get paid either way. The tech at that dealer probably just did not want to replace your clutch. An intake/headers and exhaust should not make any difference to them. I could see them saying that if you had nitrous/supercharger/heads & Cam...something major but those are all just bolt ons that most of the dealers around here will install for you when you buy your car!

Just picked up my car from dealer and took the car for a spin and guess what... the clutch still sticks!!! Dealer said they couldn't duplicate the problem after having 64 mi (YES 64 mi!!!) test drive shifting at redline. Also, my MPG on DIC reads 5.6 MPG. Did they beat the crap out my car? Why the hell clutch sticks only when I'm driving??? I need to find another dealer... This really sucks!!!
They probably reset the gas mileage on your comp then took it out trying to duplicate the problem, by beating on it. Sounds like a terrible dealer! Make sure you respond to their customer service surveys, I like to fill them out front a back with complaints!
