Headers caused a check engine light. how can I?
How do you check the codes on a C6? The check engine light came on about 100 miles after I installed Kooks headers. Then after about 60 miles of driving, the light went off. Do I need to worry?

Onstar will only tell you that "you have an exhaust emisions code", they will NOT tell you what specfic number. If the CEL light went off you're OK.
To read codes you can go to the Dealer or it seems any OBD2 scanner will work.
If you get a code and want to clear it; Pull and replace your ECM fuse (#11?) and it'll reset the code or disconnect the battery for 1/2 hour.
Or you can go to the Dealer, some OBD2 scanners cannot reset codes.

If the code cleared, it must have been intermittent. Don't worry. I've got kooks also and had no codes at all. Which leads me to believe it was intermittent. Just a glich.
