Because it's a bogus claim. If you're checking your mileage you are doing it over a relatively long distance at essentially low power. You may be able to increase top end power but you are not going to increase the low end effciency of an already very efficient engine to get any kind of mileage increase that you could measure. Surely not 1 to 2 mpgs.

I saw better mileage to 30 mpgAs far as the bold claim, he is just saying he wont charge you if he cant get you more power. I like it....confidence, but is he going to find 2-3 hp under the curve and say its an improvement or is it peak?
450 for a tune is steep anyway....how bout 100 per 3 pulls on the dyno and I will tune it myself since 90% of the tune is in the first 3 pulls after the baseline with a wideband/scan tool for the air fuel ratio and the LTFT's.
$125 is the going rate on a mail order tune.
