Default Tuning Help Please - Anyone help!

I just got my ECM back from tuning and my local speed shop installed it and did the re-learn with a Scan 2 Tech Tool. They imedeatly put it on the Dyno for 2 pulls and the Air/Fuel Ratios was between 14.5 & 15.0? They called me and said that it was running way to lean. I called the tuner and he said that the car must run 100 miles first and that the Air/Fuel Ratios would go back down to 12.5 ish or so.

I also only got a 5 horsepower gain, will that go up once the 100 miles have been driven on the car?

I need help, I am clueless when it comes to thsi sorta of stuff. Should I be concerned that the car is running so lean? Do you think the car really will re-learn in 100 miles and the Air/Fuel will go back down to 12.5 like it supposed to. Will the horsepower most likely increase?

Man - I just dont want to blow my engine!

Please advise!

BS as in Bull ****.

At WOT, the car ignores a few things, one of them being O2 sensor feedback. It has a preset guideline and follows that.

Who did the tune?

Should I be concerned about F%$**$% my engine up right now? Could this 14.5 go back down to 12.5 with a 100 miles on her?

I am nervous as hell right now!

Highly doubt it. Do you have the dyno chart available on the PC?

You won't blow your motor.Ron Zimmer has tuned both my car and Andreas G's car. After my last mod Heads)( I had a similiar situation, the car was pulling timing from 26 degrees to 22. It needed fuel. I drove it 75 miles and the computer seemed to relearn. The mass air sensor sends info back to the computer and it adjusts to what is needed. Thats the beauty of the tune. I redyno'd 18 rwhp higher and my timing was back to 26 degrees.

This tune is good for about anything unless you change the injectors.

** Okay, good news and a long story short - The Speed shop I took it to did no do the Tech 2 Tool Crank Varaition re-learn like I they were suppose to. It was a mis-understanding and they didnt have the tool. When I got there it was throwing a check engine light and code.

I called Ron Z and he immeadtly put me in touch with a local guy that was already at home for the night and he met me down the street and did the Crank Varaition Re-learn with the Tech 2 Scan Tool. Thanks Joseph @ Verones!

Everything seems to be ok now, no check engine lights anymore, no 1-4 skip shift, fans coming on earlier now... I am going to drive it for a 100 miles and take it back in for another dyno with Air/Fuel Ratios to make sure its down around that 12.5 mark, which I am sure it is...

Not doing the Proper Crank Varaition is what I think through off the Air/Fuel Ratios, am I wrong?

Thanks again Ron Zimmer for all of the help and hooking me up with someone so fast to correct my problem! Great guy, wondeful customer service!

After actually looking at the Dyno sheet, I noticed that it was a 10hp gain and 13lbs of torque, not the 5 hp gain I was told over the phone?? This is without the Re-learn process and 100 mile breakin period. I was actually very impressed with this number as it can only go up now.

I cant wait to see what it dynos at now! I will keep you all posted....
