+150 hp, Safer Way?

Here is what I am looking to do and the considerations.
#1 - keep cost ~$10k
#2 - keep it drivable
#3 - get the RWHP around 425
I don't race on tracks (I may do the 1/4 mi a few times for posterity sakes - but had my fill of running that), I don't race on the streets, but I do like to get on it every chance I get ... I like the 0-95 mph sprints.
What I have decided (only thing I have now is BB bullets cat-back) to do is: Long tube headers (probably LG), and the Lingenfelter package similiar to what Mr Blu did (see the thread about Dyno'ing with the Porsche peeps) - its a moderate cam and head job.
Advantages of this option: Lingenfelter name and experience, 24/24 warantee, good service, tested streetablility and performance, and decent price.
My bud did more and went cheaper, but if it breaks he is SOL. To save around $1k - to me thats not worth it.
As far as blowers, probably, when said and done, same price range or little higher.
Ed at LPE has been great help already - I will be ready to submit order once I get the headers on locally

I don't want to much power then have to worry about clutch, drive train, rear end, etc
Just my thought process.
Not at LPE. Near 12g's.If procharger etc, what's the price installed & tuned?
