Engine Drag Control
While down shifting at a rather high rate of speed, the DIC displayed the following message: "Engine Drag Control Active." I give, what's it mean ? Is this similar to "Ejection seat system activated." Whooo Hooo ! Hold on tight baby ........... You're Very Rapidly.

By now I figured one of the tech heads would have jumped on this. I know darn good and well I can't be the only one that has caused the engine to over rev while down shifting after having let the clutch out.
Or Traction Control the other way around.
Downshifting (or lifting one's foot at high RPM) can put a significant load on the rear tires, reducing traction to the point of sliding. This is especially an issue in a high-gee turn, where it's known as lift-throttle oversteer or "chicken out and spin out". The computer opens the throttle a bit to offset this.
The "Ejection Seat Activated" message should only appear if (1) the top is off (coupe) or down (convertible), (2) speed is above 70 MPH and (3) you have pulled the ejection lever on the floor beside the seat. You probably won't have long to read it.
"ENGINE DRAG CONTROL ACTIVE: This message
displays when engine drag control is active. When
driving in a lower gear in rainy, snowy or icy conditions, and then letting up on the accelerator or downshifting, the rear wheels may begin to slip and this message appears. This message will stay on for a few seconds following the engine drag control event"

Wonder if there is a way to disable this function? May be turn off the whole nine yards. I've been driving in Comp mode. 'Sides which, I thought the LS2 edit got rid of all that garbage.
