05 c6 with kooks long tubes & X pipes and calloway intake. What would be a good cam to put into it?? G1 or X1 or any other recomendations?? I dont want anything crazy as this is a daily driver but wanted to maximize my spendings and equipment already on the car.. Thanks for the input!

It all depends on how fast? How drivable? Mine's a daily driver, and I've had two cams so far. First cam was: 220/220 581/581 114LSA's. It was very good daily driver cam. It idled at stock 650rpms, but I raised it to 800 rpms. It made good power,402RWHP/387RWTQ. OK, but not really what I wanted, I steped up to the second cam: 224/228 581/588 114 LSA's. Idles fine at 800rpms. Great mid and top end power. 420RWHP/405RWTQ. I have a Z51 6sp and at a constant 70mph I got 31.5 mpg. So It was the best of both worlds. So, cams in the mid 220's dur.,lifts, high 580's to 600. LSA's 114 or as many cams are ground 13+1. 112 or lower more idle quality and driveability problems. Remember to: lower durations more low end torque, higher more topend power. I'ts hard ot have it both ways. Hope the info helps.
Its good to see a single customer "comparison" of two different cam grinds. I have to ask though, did you JUST replace the cam or did you do other things such as heads, valves, springs, etc? I have been pondering an upgrade but no matter how you slice it doing the cam and heads is a $4-5K deal. If I go that route I'll send the car to LPE so at least the resale and warranty will be a viable asset. I just inquired about trading mine on a Z06 and was told "low to mid 30's" as a value, nuts!

yeah WTF is right, mine is a Z51 6speed all options except Nav so it stickered about $53ish. Its only got 4700 miles. If I were just trading it toward another C6 I could see the "steal it" mentality but towards a $70K chevy, NOT. And the dealer is a forum "regular".....
