Default B & M Shifter Install

I just installed a precision sport shifter yesterday and it took a little finessing to get the bushings and shift **** on.
I used the bushings supplied ith the shifter, (the factory ones were already deteriorated) but had to sand the supplied bushings to get them to fit. .010" oversize and the **** contrary to B&M's claims did not seat where it should to allow the set screw to be installed without first flapper wheeling the first 3/8" of the shifter lever.
The shifter is a vast improvement over the stock piece with good feel.
The only draw back is that now there is considerable vibration through the lever while accelerating in 3rd gear.

Does anyone know if there are other bushings being made such as a softer urethane to alleviate this. I realize its a compromise but it would be an improvement over the rubber ones and might not transmit the vibration.
Also has anyone found a rubber band holding their foward pin on their stock shifter- I was surprised at this.

Try getting a pair of the OEM bushings, that is what I use. Still some rattle but not much...
