Default Need New Tires/Help

So what do you recommend for a Z-51. Don't want another set of run flats and would like to go to a wider tire if possible using the factory rims. What is available?

OE sizes are: front 245/40-18
rear 285/34-19

One guy in my vette club got BFG's, KDW's in 255/40-18 and 295/35-19s They look like they fit the rims just fine, but give a little tiny bit of curb protection, and they don't look any taller than the stock sizes. He says that since he switched to those that he can now do full power acceleration from a stand still without spinning the tires.

These are what I have planned for mine!

I have the KDW's and they are much better than the runflats. Handling is much better and one guy on the forum in the C5 section gets common 1.77 60' times from the 295's.......... I agree they are among the best launch tires I have used that are street tires.

I can still break them loose rolling intot the throttle in second and on a strong footed 3rd gear shift.
