Looks like I'm about ready to put one in.............Anybody have any issues with this after an install? Any electronic conflicts, etc.? I sure don't want to give GM an excuse to say "you invalidated your warranty"

If GM fixed the car you would not need to fix it yourself!
I've never heard of any issues with Priority Start. One member posted that he had to step on his brakes to wake it up, but that's about it. It should be totally invisible and never activate unless your battery is draining, and has dropped below 11.7 volts. (I think that's the theshold voltage).
Many of us who have experienced DBS have installed this unit and it appears to be problem free. Make sure you know how to get into your car and can re-index your windows in case it actually trips, since the car will be essentially dead until it reactivates.

It is put in series with your positive battery cable and a small ground wire from the Priority Start goes to your negative post.
PriorityStart has worked well for me. The only issue I've had is that it doesn't wake up with a push of the brake pedal as per the instructions - I have to push in the cig. lighter (breifly) to trigger the wake-up.
Having had one case of DBS(sounds like a disease), I will get one too. My first purchase was a battery tender. Any issues with having both??
I use them both. Or I should say that I have used them both. I am driving the car now over the holidays since the roads are not too bad.
I have heard of two different approaches. The first involves taking the small ground wire of the Priority Start off of the negative terminal. This inactivates the Priority Start.
I have also been told that you can just go ahead and leave the Priority Start hooked up with the negative wire on the negative terminal and hook up the Battery Tender as you normally would. The Battery Tender is not going to start charging untill it senses your battery going down.
I have tried both ways with no apparent ill effects. Right now I have the Priority Start hooked up and fully operational. When the weather turns bad again, I'll just hook up the Battery Tender as I normally would.
The only annoying thing I have found with PriortyStart is that it will trip when I am working under the hood for more than a very short time from the underhood light.I have not had a chance to install the Radio Shack rocker switch inline for that light yet,and when I do will again hook up my PriortyStart.I am using a CellMate charger hooked to the side posts of an Optima RedTop to keep the charge full during the Winter. The CellMate is mounted on the fender liner just ahead of the fusebox, and is about the size of a pack of cigs, but thinner. The tranformer hooks into it via a phone jack type plug, and the wire is thin enough to close the hood without pinching it.Very tidy!

Isn't it amazing that we have to do all of this to keep our 50k+ cars running.................but I love my Vette!
Thank goodness for the aftermarket, who I suspect will find a solution for DBS on'05's long before the General.Maybe a bypass for the switch similar to the CAGS eliminator? And yes, only love can account for tolerance of this particular foible!
