Has anyone heard of what will change will take place on the corvette?
GM is starting to sell their 07 truck line starting Jan. with all models on sale by June, some new engines , trans, and so on. I would expect more HP and wheels at least for the Corvette. Anyone heard anything?

Living in Livonia, why don't you drive by the Roush shop and see if they have any 07's yet. Roush is not exclusive to Ford, just look at all the Mopars he has in the yard.
My bet is that the wheels will change and thats about all.

If year 3 doesn't fix all of the issues folks have experienced in the 05/06 cars then I fear vette sales will take a dive. I don't care who manufactures a car or how expensive it is, I should be able to park it for days on end knowing it'll start.

All what problems. i've got 16K miles on my Z-51, and other than excessive tire wear and a problem with the parking lights, the car has been great. More than I can say for my wife's last 3 Mercedes CLKs. The C6 is doing fine.

My '05 C6 Z51 MN6 has been pretty much flawless except for me banging up the air dam on curbs. Have absolutely no complaints about the car. Quality control is at least as good as it's predecessor, a 2000 Porsche 996.
I would rather pay a gas guzzler tax than have displacement on demand. Anyone agree?
The only major changes I am aware of are for the Z06, which is scheduled to get bigger rear tires (345/30-19), carbon brakes, carbon hood, and other suspension tweaks on one of the option packages (the performance package), and the targa as part of another option package (the lux package). Other info is that the number of carbon fenders will be restricted to the performance package because of volume production issues, and that the LS7 will partially transition away from Wixom to automated assembly, like the LS2. Hand-built engines will be a performance option and may get a power boost. The word is GM intentionally left 50HP on the table for future upgrades.
Regular C6s may get a wheel change, but that's about all.
***EDIT*** - Forgot, there's also rumor of a new orange metallic to succeed DSOM...
Yeah, and to do that they have to scap the aluminum frame. Be on the lookout for a cooling trend in Hell!
Some of you are forgetting that in the 8 year C5 run, it picked up 5 (yes, FIVE) horsepower, one set of new wheels and.......that's it.
Also, during the C5's eight year run, they hardly fixed any of it's initial problems, and it still somehow survived. I had more problems with my 2001 and 2003 C5 (mind you those are five and seven years into the C5 production run) than I have with the two C6's I've owned (zero problems).
