ANY problems owner's complained about during year 1 and 2. They keep detailed records of warranty claims. If a single targa top delaminates on an 07, or a crank pully bolt shears or a gas gauge goes nuts then the rest of my comment makes sense. In year three C6 owners shouldn't have to put up with issues C5 owners did during it run. I just had my wack fuel gauge and rocking seat fixed on my 03 Z.
That's the point I was making, if you read something more into my statement I'm sorry.
Z06 Targa option??? Could my prayers actually be answered? (totally willing to sacrifice a tenth of a g or so in the turns for the ability to enjoy Colorado fresh air virtually year 'round, and also willing to pay for it via an option!)
Sorry Cobra, can't go there. We'll just have to wait and see if it pans out. One important correction: Z06 changes go into effect MY08. New orange color is for MY07, all cars.
There was a discussion just like this in the general discussion bored -- use the search tool. So far the only thing that people have heard is the change in color options. There is a possibility for a slight increase in horsepower, however the thread also provided historical evidence to show that GM may wait a few more years.
One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of car rating sources use price ranges to compare cars. Sports car under $45,000 is the vette's territory. With too many changes to the vette (like upgraded interior material and an upgraded engine), they may push that price over $45,000 and start competing with the CL/SL from Mercedez...and we know we can't keep up with those. That's just my opinion
