Who has experience with installing a bra on the C-6?
In particular, the attachment at the headlights.
The ones I looked at, all have a flap that tucks into the seam between the headlight cover and body. When it slides in, it forces the rubber seal down below the surface, never to be seen again. (That can't be good!)
Am I not doing this correctly?
Are there any other alternatives other than the thin stretch bra that covers the air intake?
It doesn't push the seal in, it slides between the seal and the bodywork. I've had mine (Colgan) on and off several times, and the seal looks to be back in perfect condition and placement after the bra is removed.
Installed mine before my christmas weekend trip and removed it yesterday. The rubber seal is still in place. Are you sure you placed the flap between the seal and the body, and not between the seal and the headlight?
The bra tab on the passenger side went in okay (tight), but on the driver side the headlight seal push in when I tried to insert the bra tab. I was able to fish the seal back into position with a pair of fine needle-nosed pliers without doing any damage.
Be careful and don't pry against the body or headlamp.

This does not sound good. In the past, I always felt a bra on a car can do more damage then running without one.
I removed the tabs on my GM Bra and sewed a 1"X1" of velcro to each of the 4 corners........then stuck a similar piece of sticky-back velcro on the car (yes...on painted surface). Ran that way all summer, took them off this fall with no visible signs on the paint
Since the seal wraps around the headlight, in order to re-position it, I started at a point where the seal was exposed and gingerly worked my way toward the direction it was push in. I used jeweler's needle-nosed pliers, but a pair of tweezers should work as well. Just be very careful not to pull too hard on the seal, it is very soft and could easily tear.
The first time you install it, if take your time you should have no problems. It would have been better if had GM provided an insertion tool for the tabs as Colgan does, however, it's easy to fashion a tool from any piece of thin, flexible material.
I have the Colgan version and it came with the little piece of plastic to help guide the flaps between the seal and the body.
First time I installed mine last week I had the same issue. Once I figured out it went between the seal and the car I used the plastic tool and it went in like a champ.
I had the most problem with the upper wheel well clips. They did not want to stay in place until I hooked the other clips to the air intake area. Anyone else have problems with this?
This is the first time I have had a Bra and I am also concerned about doing more damage with it than without it. However after living for a year in the bug infested state of Florida, I am rolling the dice.
I bought a Colgan bra for my '06 and it fits great - except when I attempt to put the two top fender tabs in place (even after being in the sun). I contacted Colgan and the person told me that I might have to rebend the tab with pliers to get a good fit. I did rebend the tab but they still will not stay on. Is there someone who has a picture where it shows the tab attached?
