Yes, his A6 is in the ball park. Now all you have to do is get to the track and post some really quick times Sorry LS1LT1 you will have to wait till Etown reopens
Low as in HP? I thought it was very good actually considering we are talk an automatic here. I was expecting a 20% loss because of it. Am very happy with 15-16%. That is not bad for total drive line loss IMO. I have seen manuals with that type of loss.
Concerning feeling doggy, nope. Gearing falls between the standard MN6 and the Z51 MN6.
You have a strong car, since Auto's usually soak up closer to 20%, I would imagine that you are running slightly over 400hp at the crank.

I think the gain is in the design of the new A6.
Efficiency has improved!
Otherwise why design and retool for a new transmission?
I for one did not buy an A6 to compete with a M6 or to race anything for that matter.
I bought something that would be a pleasure for me to drive in every day Florida traffic. Otherwise I would have saved $1250?
I was raised on manual transmissions, built fast cars and Hot Rods with manual transmissions, Restored cars with manual transmissions. I've had enough of manual transmissions unless it’s in a classic or antique car.
Just finished geting baseline for my car, totally stock. 337hp at 6000, 341ft lbs of torque and 4500. 3 runs where done, the first in 3rd the next 2 in 4th. The 3rd run was the best. Looking at the A/F chart the car runs fat from 4000 rpms to redline, 11.7 at 6000. Anyway thought I would share.

The 3rd run was the best
when you say the 3rd was the best do you mean?
The run done in 3rd gear?
or the #3 run?
It's just that E town is five minutes from my house
And it's only 35 minutes from mine (Atco is roughly an hour and twenty ) but I (and most others) just get way better results at Atco and, well, I am going for the stock C6 WORLD record here.

Yup, some of the guys at E town tell me the same thing. If I don't make it into the 12.70s I may take the ride. Good luck LS1LT1
I would bet that with a 3.42 rearend the time would be slower than stock. 3.42 will require one more shift than with the stock rearend. In addition even with the 2.56 there is a traction problem in 1st, it will just get worse with 3.42's and you don't have enough gear to launch in second.

True, it's going to take A LOT of tire to hook an A6/3.42/high stall converter combo up, especially on the street. 3.15s or even 2.73s might be a much better choice with this new trans IMO.
Another fast track.
I haven't been to Cecil in YEARS...ironically I've been to both MIR and Capital twice since my last trip to Cecil which happens to be MUCH closer to me LOL.
