Default button no work

The button to open the truck on my C6 doesn't work anymore. I know it's covered under warranty but I was wondering if anyone had a quick fix.
Also have a nail in the left rear tire and was wondering what it's going to cost to patch. Estimate please.

The hatch button can be remove, disassembled and repaired. It more than likely has some moisture or corrosion.

A knowledgeable Chevy dealer certified by Goodyear or a knowledgeable Goodyear dealer can repair the flat a no charge under the Goodyear road hazard warranty (assuming this is a 2005 Corvette).

Goodyear told me last year that the 2006 models would no longer have a road hazard warranty.

Anybody with a 2006 know is this is true??

The external hatch release buttons aren't sealed that well. Road dirt and moisture can get in them and make them intermittant. Do a search and I believe you'll find a thread by pipedreams telling you how to disassemble and clean the switch.

The Goodyear warranty on your tires covers them against road hazard for the first year or 12,000 miles. So the tire repair will be free during that time at a Goodyear EMT certified repair center. Take your tire warranty booklet with you, some service centers don't know about the warranty and will try to charge you for the repair. If you have more time or miles on your car than is covered by the tire warranty, you'll have to pay, but it shouldn't be expensive. They were going to charge me $35 until I waved the warranty in their faces.

Partially correct. The warranty pamphlet that came with my 2005 Vette actually says 2/32" of treadwear or 12 months, whichever comes first. No mention made of mileage.

It was 46 dollars and change BUT fully covered by Goodyear on my 2005. I got a flat Monday awhile back and thay fixed NO problem, then the following Monday I got another flat in the same tire (right rear). Goodyear doesn't like to double patch a tire. So they gave me credit towards the new tire (They were actually very nice on the phone and let me get BOTH rear tires replaced with the tire credit for both). I thought this was very nice.

I used Pipedreams write up to fix mine last week. You can see and touch the switch through the opening above the license plate. I thought you had to reach the switch thru there and couldn't figure it out, cause it is too tight.

Then the forum told me that you have to remove the round red tail light with a torx bit, pull the light out and reach your arm in there to get hold of the switch.

It was a piece of cake from there.

Let me see, instead of repairing one tire for free they sold you two?
As long as your OK with it.

If you have a Discount Tire in your area, they will fix ANY tire on ANY car, no matter where you bought the tire for FREE!!!!....They want your future business, so they provide this free service. I will never buy a tire from anywhere else now. They have fixed over 20 tires in my life 100% absolutely free. They patch and not plug tires.
