I see allot of discussion about the a4 and a6 on forums. I have searched and found no help. Can someone please just explain this concept to me. Is it just the different supercharger or ?
The 2005 MY vettes with auto tranny have only the A4, but you could get either the standard 2.73 rear axle ratio or the 3.15 rear axle ratio.
The 2006 MY vettes with auto tranny have only the A6 and only the 2.56 rear axle ratio. However, with the A6, you can still let the tranny shift itself or you can use the push buttons on the steering wheel to let the driver shift.
That is what I was thinking. Has anyone heard if the A6 is faster than the A4? I would think it would be, but I don't know.
Only one set of reported track times so far and it was on a lightly modded car but it looks (and feels ) to be quite fast (easily as fast if not faster than the A4 with 3.15s maybe) as of right now.

Lusky's lightly modded car did turn in some nice times and trap speeds. But mod some of the A4'S equally and put them on what is apparently a great sea leval track in cool moist Louisianna air and I don't think I am yet convinced the A6 is faster then the A4/3.15. But faster or slower I am sure glad they didn't take a step backward with the A6. I think if you are planning to do some modding and drag racing the A4 would still be the best choice. But for rolling acceleration without the gaps the A6 is likely the winner.
I can't say for sure. All I know is, my A6 set to sport mode with the traction control in comp mode, runs like a fox with it's tail on fire.
Mine too, and I only have a few hundred miles on it still (LSX motors get clearly faster/more potent with more miles on them, up to a point of course) so I haven't really even 'stood on it' yet either...can't wait til it's fully broken in.
