Default Paint Code

I've looked in the door posts, on the doors, under the hood and deck lid but can't find a sticker with paint code. The car is a 05 Coupe, Arctic White.

It is 10U. There was a slight change in the paint late in the 05 model. However there was not a change in the RPO.

Thanks. How late in the model year? Got the car in July.

Look at the label on the glove box door that details all the car options. The last line will have the color code. You should see the 10U code, a slash, and there will also be a "W" and two to four digits and maybe suffix letter there. Example: Monterey Red code on the glove box label is something like 80U/U301N.

The "W" (or "U") code is the REAL DuPont paint code...10U is a generic GM code for Arctic White.

The code shows a little different. The last line of the block of codes reads 1S7 10U
and then below that is:

BC/CC U9567

I'm assuming the U9567 is the Dupont paint code.

Thank you for the info JmpnJckFlsh.

I tried to find my information on when the change took place but was unable to do so. My early December built car has the same paint code as your July build.
10U
BC/CC U9567

It might have been an application change on the 10U instead of an actual paint change. All I can remember is that it was supposed to create a better finish on the Arctic White cars and it was after mine was built.

Yes, U9657 is your correct DuPont paint code. I was working from memory on the config of the label...working from memory is getting risky for me.

Brett, your car has the exactly the same paint as SSD's...10U is only the GM code. For example, the "Arctic White" paint formula could change slightly and the "U" code will be different, but the 10U GM code will remain the same.
