I thought with the predator you can back out some of the timing on an as-needed basis. Also, I remember reading another thread many months ago from a tuner suggesting that the timing curves for the C6 were pretty damn good and there was nothing to be gained from significantly changing them.
Is it only at low RPM? I find that you can't advance the timing at all (above stock) below 2000 RPM or you'll end up with knock/retard. The mid and upper RPM range, however, can take quite a bit of additional advance without pinging. Personally, I started with the stock tune and added a little timing to the mid/high RPM range myself. If you want to stick with the Diablo tune, try setting the lowest RPM timing back about -6% and see if that solves it.
The car does not ping until about half to three quarter throttle. I was considering backing out some of the timing. I just thought it shouldn't be necessary as I am running 93 octane (not 91) and I live about an hour away from Diablo Sport so I thought their tune would work perfect in South Florida.

You never said, but my assumption is that it is only knocking at low RPM, like if you are lugging along at 1000-2000 RPM and press down on the throttle? These cars are timed to max timing (or beyond) already at low RPM because that's where you get your gas mileage. I think Diablo fooled with the low RPM timing and advanced it a bit when they shouldn't have. The LS2 can take some advance higher in the RPM range but GM already has the timing tables as far advanced as they can at low RPM just to improve gas mileage. BTW, you get the best gas mileage with a hint of knock, so a little knock at low RPM isn't always a bad thing. Just the same, I tend to back mine off a little until I don't hear it any more. A hint of knock isn't that bad for the engine but it ain't the best either!
