I installed a set a few months ago and could not be more pleased, the only problem is that my car is a DD and the wheels need to be polished often. my question is , could I chrome the wheels or clearcoat them? and has anyone done this before and have pics?
I have CCW's on my daily driver & had the same problem...There's a product called WheelWax that cut my polishing by over half....I couldn't be happier with the results, just polish as usual & put a coat of wheelwax on. The downside is you can only get it at www.wheelwax.com
Try Rejex and Aircraft sealer wax that is used on commercial aircraft.
Like Colonites? We use that on our boat sometimes, if that's what you're referring to you can probably pick it up at a local west marine....if you have a local west marine.

Actually this is only 1/2 true. We carry Wheel Wax, and have for more than a year. (with forum discount also) But I would highly suggest trying DP's Wheel Sealant or Poorboys Wheel Sealant as they are quite a bit more durable. Nothing lasts very long as wheels get very hot, but you will be impressed as a noticable difference is available for uncoated wheels.
Has anyone tried Zoops Seal? Here's a link. I haven't personally used, but have been reading about the product for a couple of years. http://www.zoops.com/zoopseal_faq.asp
The Mother's PowerBall and Power Polish will allow you to polish those wheels in about 5 minutes apiece with your cordless drill. Both are available from Auto Geek.In my opinion, nothing is prettier than freshly polised billet aluminum, and it is so easy you can do it every time you wash the car to keep them dazzling.

I used some on my Iforge wheels. It work great on the front where water does not stand but on the back side of the wheels they had a lip on them and water would stain them. I ended up and striped it off. I just use the Mother's Billet polish. I plan on trying the power Ball , Nothing looks better than freshly polished billet.
