I just installed mine on my '06 Z last night. I purchased mine from West Coast Corvettes. Its really just a matter of crawling under the car and looking for the weatherproof connector on the drivers side of the transmission. Just unplug the connector and install the CAGS pieces (one directly to the tranny, the other to the harness that you just unplugged).
The toughest part was getting your arms up there high enough to grab everything. Its kind of a tight squeeze. It still only took me 5 minutes to do it though.

Don't forget to secure the cable with the CAGS plug in it to the brake or fuel lines with nylon tie straps so it doesn't get burned on your exhaust pipe!
Thanks!! I hate the 1-4 although it doesn't happen too often... just around left turns from a light.
I plan to have the CAGS eliminator on mine before I get it home form BG. But, for just loafing around town, give a 1-3-5 shift sequence a try. Sounds dumb, but it works real well when you are dealing with a lot of stop lights and stop signs and just getting from point A to point B in town.
Any one have the printed version? I went to the site which has great instructions, but I don't have a PC in my garage and I can't print the directions. The pictures print, but the text doesn't.
I was looking through the instructions and they are great. Very thorough. But one thing seems odd to me. In the pictures, there is a sticker on the transmission at says "DEXRON III ATF ONLY". ATF means Automatic Transmission Fluid, right? And this is on a 6 speed manual transmission. I am confused. I was under the impression that manual transmissions don't use ATF.

Different manual transmissions are designed to use different lubes. ATF isn't unusual these days.

It is pretty straight forward. Look for the connector cleverly labeled "skip shift" on the tranny. The CAGs only connects one way. A cheaper alternative is a 50 cent 2.2 Kohm resistor across the non tranny side of the connector. Wrap with electrical tape and secure the cable with a cable tie. You should also seal up the tranny side connector with electrical tape as well. Yes the shift light still comes on.
