Bad throwout bearing?
When I push the clutch pedal ever so slightly, maybe a half inch, I get a faint whirring noise. Pedal pushed farther or full up, no noise. I also get some vibration through the pedal when shifting. Anyone else experience this? 2900 miles on the car.

It's probably normal. The throw out bearing is just resting all the way up and fully engaged when the pedal is down. When you move the pedal a small amount, the bearing is just starting to touch the pressure plate that is spinning when the engine is running.
