Default Cartek torque Mgmt

Has anyone had the Torque Management program done from Cartek? The advertisement claims:"Prevents the ecu from reducing timing and throttle angle(torque management) under hard driving and fast shifts. Some customers have gained as much as .3 and 3 mph" I am interested in having this done on my 05 auto. Any comments would be appreciated.

Sounds like a must have. Whats their charge? Can they send it to you by computer for local install?

That sounds like the Cartek Torque Management Elimination Module which unfortunately doesn't apply to the automatics, only the manuals.
Fortunately C6 programming/tuning software has come a long way in the past year and half and they can tune the automatics now as well.

I believe torque management exists in the ABS module and it's activated by the CAGS system via Onstar. That's why they are going to put Onstar in all 2007 models.

The module is intended for the manuals but there is PCM programming available for C6 automatics.

From the sounds of it, it’s like your buying a feature that should be included in a tune.

If you want a "black box" between your computer & abs controller - go for it. This item has been beaten to death and back, on this very forum.

Actually been a long time since anyone has even mentioned it. Find a decent tuner, and stay away from "black boxes" whose operation has never been properly explained.

Yes ... a prof. dyno tuner ... should be able to give you everything ... for say 350-500 bucks. Thats really the best way to go.

Every new vette needs an optimal tune anyways.

So, On-Star will be standard in 2007.

Default black box

I agree, stay away from the cartek black box and get it tuned. I have their fan control module, it's junk!

To clarify the above statement, it was learned that the Cartek module eliminates ABS when it is engaged.
