Default Lingenfelter CAI installed this weekend!

Well, with a lot of help from my good buddy Torch we got my new LPE CAI installed on my LPE 500 H/C C6 coupe Don't have dyno numbers yet (but I've tracked down the most 'local' dyno I could and will post some just as soon as I can get it done) but let me just say this intake has made an already bad-fast car even faster! Engine temps are running 20 degrees cooler and there is a definite seat-of-the-pants improvement. Thanks to Tim & Ed at Lingenfelter for getting this kit out so quickly, now I can hopefully enjoy some cool evenings before the hot sticky air hits and stays here in SC. Install took right at 4 hours but we took our time, no rush, step by step plus we cut/drilled my original radiator shroud and it fit PERFECTLY using LPE's template(nobody panic, it's just plastic and you can always replace with OEM OR get one pre-cut from LPE). The system looks great installed - the same quality we all know and love from Lingenfelter. If you're in the mood for a CAI I highly recommend this one

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad the kit worked out well for you!

Make sure to post some dyno numbers when you get a chance to run it.

Now you should be all set when the Corvette challenge comes back to Aiken!

20 degrees cooler? I assume you mean the coolant temp? This does not make sense. I can't believe inlet temp is not going to effect coolant temps. Can you elaborate?

Still a bottom feeder, right? I'm just not up for taking a chance on that in south FL.

Yep - meant coolant temps, sorry should've been more specific.

And yes, it's still a 'bottom-feeder' though I can't see how heavy rain would affect it very much since the filter does not directly face the front of the car. Standing water I could see being a problem, and maybe a torrential downpour since the filter is exposed underneath the car.

Those are strong numbers, using 15% losses to the rear wheel, you are putting out 421 HP at the flywheel. Congrats!

I would bet you wil pick up another 30 HP. Are you installing the cats and x-pipe? I will be interested to hear your experience with regard to error codes. I would also like to know if there is ground clearance reduction with the LG's installed.

Torch didn't sneak the 160 stat in, but Lingenfelter did with the 500 hp H/C package, forgot to mention the car already had that done in original post

Sorry about the pics - had them linked from kodakgallery, not sure why they're no longer up but I'll see what I can do.

EDIT: Pics should be working now. Apparently you have to go back in and view them in your album every so often. Weird....
