I changed at 4,000 the first time. I'll go by the DIC from now on.

I think Mobile-1 synthetic is good for closer to 7K miles. That seems to be where the DIC in the 05 would request a change of fluid.
I'm over 2000 miles on the 06 and just purchased a case of Mobile-1 ($5.69/qt ouch!) and will change later today. I never liked the idea of having the original/break-in oil in the motor for the standard length of time the dealer recomends.

I rely on my DIC. I try to listen to what my DIC has to say. That's not to say I let my DIC do all the thinking for me. But I do trust it's input.

Default Remember one thing;

Oil life doesn't mean filter life. Mobil one oil lives along time. It's the filters that go first. Look at at you filter it's the size of your fist. Now stop and think, how much dirt can this small metal container really hold.
Not much. So your oil life may say %80 but your filter can already be done. Full. I change my oil at 2500 miles. No matter what the oil life says.
