c6 track tire set up
Its track season again and the z is still out of my price range . looking for suggestions for a track tire set up for my c6 z51 expect to to to go to 5-6 de events this summer, bought a trailer last year. looking for lower cost track solution. need to buy tires and rims. what are my best alternatives? also any suggestions on brake/rotor setups would be appreciated, just replaced my 2nd set of stock rotors and they are pricy.

Check out the the Autocross/road racing section. Their is a post on used track tires. I got a set from TireRack for my Z and they were $1128. I think this guy is selling them for 50-100/tire. He has a lot of sizes also. I wish I had waited before getting the new ones. A lot of the tires on have 1-2 heat cycles on them.

A lot of Z51 guys are converting to non-Z51 rotors for track use. The rotors are less than $40 each, and the only other change is the caliper brackets. Post in the racing section, or search, for more details.
