Others have posted that the SS brake lines usually have teflon inside of them, which is more prone to kinking than regular brake line rubber, especially after a year or two There was a strong indication that SS was the way to go for a dedicated track car, but a street driver with occasional track use would be best served with the stock brake lines.
Spring Mountain runs the snot out of their cars and they stay with the stock lines. I plan to do the same, just like I did on my C5
If your going to race or run driver Ed events It will help. If you drive it only on the street it is not necessary. You won't get your brakes hot enough on the street to worry about fade from rubber lines
understand spring mountian HAS to keep the car 100% stock. not put them on my car yet but on my bike made a HUGE diffrence in the feel and effort. went to one finger to use the brake even when hauling the mail. if they gave 50% of the diffrence they do on the bike they are worth the 150
